Our client is an established (1939), successful manufacturing organization. The Human Resources Manager will be located in Coal City, IL plant location. We are seeking a human resources manager who will take full ownership of the HR functions and processes to make the HR department a model of efficiency. Job Responsibilities:
The human resource manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas but not limited to: talent acquisition/recruiting, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. The manager should empower a positive atmosphere to ensure a productive environment where employees are able to accomplish performance objectives. In addition, provide talent management expertise, workforce planning, skills assessment, training programs, and benefits administration. Other duties;
· Responsible for maintaining highly confidential information.
· Acts as an advisor providing expertise and support in all aspects of the Human Resources function.
· Conduct talent acquisition activities including: supporting talent need by department, providing advisement on market compensation requirements, and coordinating recruitment efforts with recruiter and human resource generalist.
· Organizes and conducts all new hire orientation while creating a positive first impression of the company and serving as a role model for company’s core values.
· Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in all training activities (i.e. safety compliance, orientation programs, anti-harassment training, etc.)
· Administer the Worker’s Compensation program including complete documentation of injuries and administration of potential claims.
· Inputs and maintains employee data such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for reporting.
· Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting meet compliance standards.
· Develop and coordinate human resources activities including: employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.
· Build the future of the HR department (currently consists of one generalist and recruiter).
· Employee interaction and conflict resolution. Responsible for managing investigative services for employee grievances.
· Analyze wage and salary reports including managing overtime issues.
· Update and create job descriptions, Employee manuals and handbooks.
· Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
· Consults legal counsel to ensure policies comply with state law.

B. Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field is required along with at least 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience. Professional Certification in HR preferred by not required. Strong communication skills: written, verbal and listening.
C. Must be able to consistently meet deadlines through the use of time management/follow-up skills. Independent, proactive and organized work style. Demonstrated track record of independent decision-making and process/service improvements. Ability to use good judgment/discretion with highly confidential business/employee information. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
D. A team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Someone who is customer oriented, enjoys multi-tasking and will partner and collaborate with plant leadership. Above all someone with a positive attitude.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
