Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Product Strategy Manager, you will report to the Head of Strategy and Product Innovation and will be accountable for the end to end product and partnership initiatives driving growth in our behavioral health solutions. Furthermore, you will maintain Aetna Mental Wellbeing, Behavioral Health (BH) product and capability inventory. Also you may be responsible for concurrent initiatives as team lead and/or team member, based on resource requirements.

Additional Responsibilities as Behavioral Health Product Strategy Manager Include:

Responsible for Product and Plan Design frameworks that are centered around unmet needs of various constituencies:

• Create and maintain product implementation and optimization processes
• Assess feasibility of products in innovation pipeline partnering across the enterprise
• Develop and maintain GO/NO GO decision process on new and existing product capabilities leveraging multiple constituents
• Develop/refine and lead process and implementation of new Behavioral Health product or capability
• Develop, maintain and deploy Behavioral Health product oversight process for accountability

Accountable for end to vendor and partner oversight as it relates to large scale, high value initiatives impacting the delivery of products and services to the internal and external environment:

• Identify opportunities to improve and enhance product capability service delivery
• Collaborate with business partners to identify alternate payment models to optimally support new innovative capabilities ahead of our competition
• Partner across Aetna Mental Wellbeing Clinical Strategy, Resources for Living (RFL) and Member Experience as well as Cross-Enterprise Strategic Innovation (CESI) Clinical and Strategy areas and the broader enterprise to continually inform go forward product design
• Consult with Commercial Product Team, Account Teams, Clients, segments, and markets to ensure product capabilities that meet constituent needs
• Develop new internal and external channels to distribute BH capabilities
• Act as liaison between Member Services, Medical and or Behavioral Health customer and account executive in ensuring products meet expected performance

Responsible for providing strategic oversight in support of initiatives by driving highly matrixed internal and external ecosystem:

• Drive product capability prioritization, implementation and review process
• Partner across organization to create alignment and signoff for the duration of the product implementation lifecycle
• Support product performance by managing member services, innovation, and vendor relationships
• Meet regularly with customers, consultants, staff to review product capabilities

Accountable for transferring knowledge, best practices (external and internal), methodology and tools to client organizations:

• Champion Aetna Mental Well-being strategic themes and clinical priorities
• Develop content and present mental well-being capabilities and strategy to internal and external audiences; identify, design and manage customer facing materials
• Leverage internal and external subject matter expertise to create navigation tools to support customers in finding and optimizing all Aetna Mental Well-being (AMWB) offerings
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Behavioral Health products and distribution
• Liaison with shared services such as underwriting, finance, actuarial, marketing and analytics, regulatory and compliance related to product development, implementation and tracking processes

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project leadership and project management experience
• Minimum 3 years of commercial or mental health product management or consulting experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Policy (MPP) is desired
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Healthcare, Behavioral Healthcare, Finance, Engineering or equivalent

Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience is required
