Job Specific Responsibilities
FINANCIAL
Post daily cash receipts for multiple entities into accounting system, service system, and bank website. Troubleshoot and research any issues, communicating to appropriate departments if future action needs to be taken. Research and apply miscellaneous receipts to appropriate GL account.
Interpret financial requests from customers and analyze financial statements to produce information for inclusion into the prequalification package. Organize information provided into a key metrics that can be updated annually and streamline the information that could be used for multiple requests throughout the year.
Review weekly accounting data and update KPI scorecards.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, create journal entries when required,
Utilize software to maximum capacity to create standard procedures with consistent results.
Maintaining organized finance files and centralized documents for others to share access.
Record manual check positive pay files in bank website and review/approve exceptions.
Assist in defining, documenting and maintaining accounting processes and procedures.
Work with confidential data, which if disclosed, may have significant consequences.
Various accounting projects as assigned based on business needs
Learn and provide backup to Full Cycle accounts receivable process and Payroll Specialist role.
Understand job cost and general ledger functionality and apply knowledge when reviewing and auditing general ledger accounts and posting reports.
Organize requests from auditors, research and identify appropriate reports, review for accuracy before providing to auditing firms. Create process for future audits to streamline reports and documents needed so they can be produced consistently on an annual basis.
Review final payroll before releasing for payment, performing multiple analytics for assurance before it is finalized. Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow projection for future payroll costs.
Ad hoc reporting as required.
Role-specific required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or accounting certification preferred.
Prior construction accounting experience preferred (job costing/project management accounting/WIP).
3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Knowledge of reading and analyzing Financial Statements.
Quantitative and analytical skills with ability to see the importance of details as well as the big picture.
Entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and the ability to handle a variety of tasks.
Advanced use of MS Excel preferred.
Continually improve upon organization and processes to become more efficient over time.

Able to use office equipment such as computer terminal, calculator, copier and fax machine.
A strong sense of ethics.
Have a good understanding of the organizational workflow and outcomes of every department, but also effectively relate to and communicate with other department managers.
