PROVIDE INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP – Define and execute the organization’s vision and strategic plan in support of the agency’s mission. Oversee the implementation of programs based on the strategic plan and ensure initiatives are aligned with the yearly budget, staffing, fundraising and partnerships. Inform and engage board members through transparent communication regarding financial, programmatic and impact performance measures. Lead the organization, guiding and motivating the team, to be confident and successful.
BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS AND COMMUNICATE WITH KEY PARTNERS – Represent the company at events and other activities, communicating the program to the community. Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations, SB40 boards, donors, provider coalitions, the community, chambers of commerce and the board of directors. Develop an annual communications plan and direct the production and distribution of communications and related materials.
LEAD FUNDRAISING – Create and fulfill an annual development plan by soliciting enough contributions/donations from businesses, individuals and community and government entities to meet or exceed annual revenue goals. This work includes overseeing funding proposal development and submissions, maintaining a current database of donors and regular communications with donors.
MANAGE FINANCIALS – Develop and manage the organization’s annual budget in conjunction with the finance committee and board treasurer. Perform select bookkeeping duties and end of month financial functions. Prepare and submit reports such as the annual report, audit and grant reports, to the board of directors and funding agencies. Ensure compliance with all governmental and funding requirements, including ensuring that funds are disbursed and financial records are maintained in accordance with contract requirements and donor designations. Ensure that appropriate risk management practices are in place to reduce liability and secure appropriate insurance.
OVERSEE PROGRAMS – Support development of programming goals and evaluate achievement of those goals. Identify and network with area agencies or other resources as needed.
MANAGE A HIGH PERFORMING TEAM – Attract, develop and lead all employees. Develop goals and objectives and define success for employees in support of the strategic business goals. Coach, inspire, and enable staff to effectively perform and work collaboratively. Provide opportunities for employees to further develop their skills.

Location:
The office is located in St. Louis County. The staff works a hybrid model. The Executive Director is expected to work in the office full-time during the onboarding period, and then may work from home 1-2 days per week.
