POSITION SUMMARY:

Logistics associate will provide assistance to shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, material handling, distribution, and other plant locations as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

• Monitor the Daily production list to plan and prepare documentation for shipping part request on a daily basis.
• Quality check packages being shipped and prepare parts for shipping, including packaging according to standards.
• Verify all documentation is properly completed when shipments are picked up by the freight company.
• Properly check in inbound parts.
• Create rack space as needed via direction from Operations Manager.
• Assist with cycle counts as needed
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Will track and fix shipping errors
• Preparing Commercial Invoices and SLI forms
• Work closely with Operations Planning & Purchasing Supervisor to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assist in setting Min and Max inventory levels based on demand.
• Store parts in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
• Pick required quantity of materials according to pick list. Complete pick list by showing quantity pulled new or used. Sign pick list to verify that count accuracy has been completed.
• Distribute kits among production workers and move or transport materials/supplies to other departments.
• Assist in physical counts and with reconciliation where needed.
• Receiving shipments and unpacking in a timely manner.
• Count and sort incoming material to verify receipt of items.
• Works with Operations Planning & Purchasing Supervisor to resolve shipping discrepancies.
• Assist Operations Planning & Purchasing Supervisor with all outbound shipments. Packing shipments, compiling paperwork, and scheduling freight.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and improving inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Report daily/weekly results of inventory control accuracy.
• Monitor material movement.
• Assist with the preparation and execution of physical inventory.
• Communicating any changes to operations regarding product availability.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The incumbent must at a minimum possess the following:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Five plus years of experience in Inventory Control (within the Oil and Gas Industry a plus).
• Ability to understand the Company’s supply demands and needs.
• Ability to work in shifts and overtime (weekends and some holidays included) as required, be flexible in working requirements as the needs of the business dictate.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fluid environment, bearing high levels of responsibility and accountability while keeping the best interests of the business in sight. Attention to detail, able to prioritize workload but be flexible to adjust to changing deadlines and work independently with little supervision or as a team.
• Ability to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties and the ability to work well with all levels of employees or customers while being service oriented and having a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in the English Language fluently. Have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is required. Must know how to operate basic office equipment, such as a copier/printer/scanning machine.
• Attention to detail, neat and organized, always keeping Safety First.
• Ability to approach problems with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
• Possess excellent organization and time management skills.
• Previous forklift experience preferred/but will train.

Frequent carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects over one hundred (100) pounds with proper equipment. Kneeling, squatting and a range of other physical motions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
