Dandy’s Drive-in, established in 1968, is Bend, Oregon’s longest standing drive-in and hamburger restaurant. Each burger is cooked to order and then roller skated out to the customer’s car. The old-fashion way. Dandy’s is a fun, high volume, fast paced environment and we’re looking to add to our team!
Line Cook Requirements:
o Minimum of 1 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
o Preferred line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook
o At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
o Must have knowledge of food service routines, food safety and handling
o Food handler’s card required
o Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and wait staff.
o Must have excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication and customer service skills, particularly in dealing with stressful, fast paced environment
o Must be detail oriented
o Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
o Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
High school diploma or GED (equivalent education and experience will be considered)
Prepare menu items in a timely and high-quality manner
Utilizes standard kitchen equipment (knives, fryers, grills and other equipment) in a manner that creates efficiency and high-quality food items.
Ensures appropriate supply of food items are prepared each day.
Maintains clean work areas, including work surfaces, floors, walls and equipment in compliance of Oregon Food Sanitation standards.
$15-$20 per hour depending on experience and capabilities.
30-40 hours a week
Includes nights, weekends and holidays
