Enters alphabetic and/or numeric data from source documents into media suitable for electronic data processing; verifies entered data for accuracy and completeness; and performs other related duties as required.
Education Requirement: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school. Excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skills may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Specialized Experience: One-half (1/2) year of work experience which required the knowledge and application of various methods and techniques used in the operation of alphabetic and numeric keying and verifying machines used to convert source data into machine-readable format such as key punch, key-to-disk, key-to-tape data entry equipment, video display equipment, or equivalent.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Completion of an approved training course in the operation of key entry and verifying machines or equivalent, may be substituted for six (6) months of specialized experience.
