Description of Duties (example: day to day functions, responsibilities, and expectations):

• Reviewing, rafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts and vendor agreements.
• Reviews and analyzes contract agreement drafts for acceptability of proposed changes, to include redlining documents, and performs formatting, proof-reading, and content editing of these documents.
• Drafts alternative language for complex non-standard corporate contract documents.
• Assists in the negotiation of complex corporate contract documents.
• Analyzes vendor agreements and other corporate contracts for potential legal risks and makes recommendations Recognizes key business issues and takes necessary steps to safeguard corporate exposure and interests.
• Provide overall strategic HR direction to the company; oversee the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services, including recruitment, selection, retention, associate health and welfare plans, associate relations, employment practices and procedures.
• Foster a workplace cultural environment that is consistent with the mission, values, and guiding principles of the organization as outlined by the leadership of the company.
• Select, develop, evaluate and lead a team of human resources professionals who will apply leading edge technology to move our brands to the next level of leadership.
• Effectively manage risk and compliance to meet budgetary requirements.
• EEOC knowledge or an understanding of the process.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years progressive Legal and/or Human Resources leadership experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and negotiate with diverse leadership team from other business units, Manufacturing Operations, Accounting, Marketing, etc. to discover the best solution for the overall needs of the business.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, compensation systems, succession planning and benefits.
• Track record of success in managing Workers’ Comp and Unemployment
• Adhere to and reinforce exceptional ethical standards through personal actions creating a culture of professionalism, honesty and integrity, as well as ability to strictly maintain confidentiality with employee and organizational information.
• Technologically current and engaged.
• Budget development and management experience

Education/Certification Requirements:

Candidates for the position of Chief Legal Officer & HR Officer need to possess a Juris Doctoral degree from an accredited School of Law.

Professional certification at SPHR level or MS/MBA equivalent in Human Resources related field is helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,942.36 – $200,000.00 per year
