As an experienced Software Engineer at DealerPolicy you must have expert web development skills and direct experience building mobile-first and progressive web applications. You will work closely with our product and engineering team to build key product features continuously improving the experience for our customers and clients. The DealerPolicy software is built using .NET core, Web API, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, React Native, Reduct, Material UI, and runs on cloud PaaS infrastructure in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing DealerPolicy core products supporting dealership auto retail sales and call center insurance agency operations
• Developing progressive mobile-first web applications in React
• Meticulously style professional user interfaces that work on a variety of devices and platforms
• Design, develop, test, and publish enterprise-grade software solutions
• Participate in and contribute to code reviews and pair programming
• Contribute to development operations and build infrastructure as code

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years professional work experience in an engineering discipline
• Highly collaborative. Effective and professional communicator.
• Strong engineering aptitude and ability to learn new tools and technologies
• Experience building client-software using modern JS frameworks
• Comfortable working with unstructured and non-relational data
• Understanding of event-driven software architectures
• Exposure to cloud and serverless infrastructures
• Strong technical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert web development skills: Significant experience building mobile-first, responsive and progressive web applications
• Enjoys designing and styling web applications based on mock-ups and wire-frames
• Experience with front-end build processes and best practices
• Deep understanding of HTTP protocols, REST, and AJAX
• Prior experience building progressive web applications in React
• Experience with event-driven and service-oriented architectures
• Familiarity and/or experience with C# or similar backend languages
• Exposure to .NET languages (C#) and frameworks and Microsoft Azure infrastructure
