We are seeking to hire an experienced and motivated leader of Data Center Engineering and Operations. This role will support our expansion and growth in multiple locations including Columbus, OH; Reno, NV; Charlotte, NC; Portland, ME.

Position: Director of Data Center Engineering and Ops

Location: Remote or Boston, MA USA with remote hybrid option

Relocation Assistance: Available

Travel: Up to 50% of the time

About the Person and the Role

You are a leader in mission critical data center engineering with operations experience. You’re excited about building telecom quality infrastructure. You can lead the day-to-day operations of edge facilities in North America. You’ll work with a team that has depth and breadth to ensure quality and uptime. You know how to ensure space, power, and environmental conditions are optimal 24 x 7 x 365 days per year. You’re comfortable being responsible for leading the design and construction of new infrastructure ecosystems. An ability to scale and to do things differently where the status quo is tiring or costly is critical.

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. It’s based in Boston, MA. Deep Edge Realty uses a hybrid office model policy supporting a balance of in-office and work-from-home requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities

· Management of design-build partners, colocation services and maintenance providers to meet our standards and goals

· Design, engineering, build and commissioning phases of markets expansion

· Facility operations including budgets, security, and maintenance to ensure work is performed to high standards

· Executing against organizational key performance indicators

· Design, operations, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and control systems

· Change management leadership

· Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution

· Developing RFP’s and negotiating purchase agreements

· Operational processes, procedures, methods, and software tools

· Collaborate across necessary areas of the Company

Minimum Qualifications

· At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, facilities management, or related experience

· Six years or more of mission critical data center engineering with operations experience

· RFP, contract, and budget experience

· Ability to take direction and execute while comfortable operating independently

· Have strong multi-discipline engineering, interpersonal, computer and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels of the organization
