Deerfield Academy Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their growing team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, and in collaboration with the HR Team, the Human Resources Generalist performs HR-related administrative duties in all areas of Human Resources, including recruiting, employee relations, payroll and benefits, and employee training and education.Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: Lead recruiting activities for non-exempt staff positions, and provide support for exempt-level recruitment as the Academy seeks, identifies, and retains a diverse body of employees; assist with the development and administration of effective employee onboarding programs; support supervisors and employees with communications, training, and coaching regarding policy interpretation and application; collaborate with the appropriate departments to manage internal and external Human Resources websites; serve as backup for payroll processing; assist with workers’ compensation case management and unemployment claims; oversee I-9 recordkeeping and E-Verify; collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement training programs; and collaborate with HR team members to address organizational needs, as well as initiating and participating in a variety of other HR-related projects.Deerfield Academy is a vibrant, ethical community that embraces diversity in all its forms.
