Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Human Resources, this position’s primary responsibility will be to provide HR Generalist support for Operations, Quality, Shipping and Receiving, Maintenance, Engineering, and Information Technology at Mann Packing. This highly collaborative position supports exempt and non-exempt employees that work in the U.S. and Mexico. This position serves in the capacity of business partner to leadership and employees, HR Team member within the NA broader HR Team, and an extension of the centers of excellence including payroll, benefits, talent, talent acquisition and compensation. This position is the interface between Mann Packing employees and the centers of excellence from Fresh Del Monte corporate.
Span of control:
Ø Support approximately 400 employees (all non-union)
Ø Support 6 facilities: Gonzalez, Hansen, FLF, Calfresh, Yuma, Baja, CA
Ø Serve as the HRBP to: Operations, Engineering, Shipping & Receiving, Maintenance, Quality, Grower Operations, Information Technology
Specific Responsibilities:
· Serve as primary support for all People Matters
· Serves as the primary point of contact for employee matters related to ADP, payroll, benefits, leaves of absence for union & non-union matters
· Serves as the Mann Packing ADP guru and is able to run reports to drive fact based decision making
· Support Talent Reviews and Succession Planning activities
· Build job description and support business talent acquisition strategy
· Manage employee lifecycle- Onboarding to Off-boarding.
· Assist with and craft all PCR intake requests.
· Lead and educate the business on people related matters including: progressive discipline, labor law updates and changes, process changes
· Track and report HR metrics
· Track and update all organization charts and human capital budgets
· Coordinates and leads employee training, both mandatory and developmental
· Facilitate investigations

People Matters:
· Counsel Management on individual HR issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions.
· Leads process improvement efforts and the implementation of technology (ESS) with a goal to improve efficiency and service levels to our internal customers
· Drives diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to foster a sense of belonging and aids the organization in being better every day.
· Collaborates with leaders to ensure functional communication is making a meaningful difference.
· Manage and process personal change request forms (PCRs), which will include internal promotions, replacements, temporary allowances, salary adjustments, and per diems.
· Champion the company’s core values & culture initiatives.
· Merges Fresh Del Monte´s culture into Mann Packing operation.
Talent Management:
· Partner with leadership to develop, execute, and drive human resources strategies to ensure strategic workforce plans align with the business strategic plan.
· Develops and ensures completion for training related to individual contributors becoming people leaders
· Advance talent and culture initiatives through consultation and relationship building. Leverages Talent Center of Expertise resources and partnership to embed key initiatives (performance management, succession planning, employee development)
· Develop robust talent management plans to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and support Talent Acquisition to fill the identified gaps.
· Keeps informed of local market and competitive trends and leverages these insights to develop appropriate HR strategies and solutions for Talent Acquisition.
Legal & Safety:
· Ensures adherence to applicable compliance requirements for U.S. Labor Law.
· Collaborates with respective partners on investigations of employee complaints, legal cases, accidents, etc.
· Oversees and is responsible for investigations for respective population (non-union)
· Ensures Company programs and policies are compliant with Federal and State regulatory agencies
· Assists with customer Social Responsibility Audits

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field, required, or equivalent experience.
· At least three to five years of professional Human Resource administration required with experience, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Bilingual (English/Spanish). Spanish is not required but a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; must be detail oriented and possess good analytical and project management skills; a skilled collaborator, willing to challenge the status quo and is effective at influencing change; comfortable navigating ambiguity; must demonstrate a solid understanding of HR laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
