Position Summary
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia
Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Grant Specialist to join our team of higher education professionals

Essential Functions
The Grant Specialist is charged with
assisting in all aspects of public and private grants including prospecting grants, vetting grants within the College system, writing,
submission of new and continuing proposals and stewardship. The Grant Specialist will have familiarity and facility with web-based
grants management systems as well as liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. A grant writer with a tenacity to find new
funding sources from a variety of organizations (e.g., government, corporate, foundation, non-profit) relevant to College priorities. This
individual will be able to develop preliminary budget narratives and schematics for grant applications, adapting funded proposals as
necessary during the post-award period, and ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
The successful candidate must be an
engaging, effective, innovative, dynamic partner who is strategic and fosters collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate the
use of best practice strategies associated with all aspect of grants management. This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an
independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College’s mission and goals. The Grant Specialist will demonstrate
a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism when dealing with financial and grant materials. The Grant Specialist
will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of
various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.
Experience &
Education
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ grant writing experience of non-profit
sector and public grants administration activities with federal and state agencies, workforce development initiatives, and grant programs
that support academic needs. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field
of study or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Master’s degree preferred.
