The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is one of the largest non-profit theatre organizations in the nation, presenting Broadway tours and producing theatre, cabaret, musicals, and innovative, immersive experiences. Through these experiences and alongside our robust Education program, we engage hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. l
The DCPA’s workforce includes more than 300 employed team members in non-union and union positions (in partnership with seven unions). In addition, we employ hundreds of artists and contractors annually. We have a strong volunteer program which includes more than 300 volunteers.

Job Purpose
The Vice President of Marketing and Sales will plan, direct and lead the overarching marketing and communications strategy. This leader should have a deep understanding of the field and a track record of understanding and adapting to trends in audience behavior. This role will provide oversight for the strategy and execution of marketing and sales programs for our six signature programming lines (Broadway, Cabaret, Theatre Company, Off-Center, Event Services and Education & Community Engagement). The VP will demonstrate a creative vision that supports our mission to create a culture of empowerment and the ability to bring people together to support our work on and off stage.
Budget responsibility is $10M with a sales revenue responsibility of $40-60M annually. The VP oversees Broadway/Cabaret Media and Marketing, Theatre Company/Off-Center Marketing, Ticketing & Audience Services, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Research and Analytics, Content and Communications and an Executive Assistant. The department consists of a staff with 8 direct reports, more than 60 staff members, 300+ volunteers and a unionized Ticketing Services Department.

Working Conditions
This position operates in a professional office environment during regular business hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may operate in a hybrid environment in which select days may be remote.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and is required to move throughout the DCPA complex.
