These funds were allocated by Congress in 2013 as a result of hurricane Sandy.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilitiesPerforms administrative work in support of the plans associated with the Major construction projects. As related to the Major project incumbent develops short and long-range plans for new or complex programs as affected by the Major construction. Incumbent works through the Associate Director at the New York site as well as top management to develop short and long-range management plans for the efficient and effective implementation of the Major Construction projects.Coordinates the preparation of temporary swing space and coordinates the moves of people, equipment and patients in preparation for the Major project work to be done. Serves as liaison between the Major Project CFM staff and Engineering/EMS as well as any other Service the Major affects in order to assure that all operations are safe and have little effect on the overall operations of the Medical Center.Keeps all of Executive Senior Management (ESM) abreast of plans for the Major project and conversely ensures the Construction and Facilities and Management (CFM) staff and contractors are aware of the expectations of Harbor management.Prepares/coordinates/consolidates a variety of reports for the Associate Director associated with the effective implementation of the major construction projects. Also responsible for ensuring that interim and permanent moves approved by the Space Committee and related to the construction project are coordinated with appropriate Services and occur in the proper time frame.Reports to various committees such as Clinical Service Chiefs, Director’s Staff, Space Committee-NY Campus, Construction Management-VA NYHHS, Information Management (IM). Participates in the Environment of Care Rounds at the New York Site of NYHHS.As related to the major construction project the incumbent prepares responses to all external inquiries including Office of Inspector General Complaints by coordinating with appropriate staff.Acts as point of contact for the Public Affairs office who coordinates visits with and inquiries from critical persons and groups both inside and outside of the NY Campus related to the Major construction.
