As a valued member of the Devon Bank Team, you will play an important role in our marketing efforts. Expectations for this position require the ongoing focus on building a strong brand and a strong community, while also building core relationships within and outside the bank by engaging fellow colleagues and customers in a welcoming and friendly manner.

This position’s primary role is to assist in the implementation of marketing, advertising, promotional and sales communication activities of the bank. This includes coordination of marketing functions and special events, social media outreach, gathering market research and information, assisting with the development of advertising and promotional materials, and providing support within the department as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Marketing Committee directives including internal production and development of all materials that support the banks marketing efforts.
• Partner with the Marketing Committee to decide what stays in-house and what is diverted to our outside creative agency.
• Participate in monthly Marketing Committee meetings, make internal presentations to the Committee to communicate and update them on our creative agency initiatives, take meeting notes and consistently follow up with meeting details.
• Attend meetings hosted by our digital agency and update the Marketing Committee on stats.
• Foster an atmosphere of collaboration across the Marketing Committee and other departmental areas of the bank to encourage teamwork.
• Develop, produce, and distribute internal marketing communications as directed.
• Provide assistance/coordination for various marketing functions and projects, plan and execute special events (twice a year), assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, planning and budgeting.
• Manage the bank’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. In conjunction with our outside creative agency, develop content that is fresh and engaging and post this information on our various platforms.
• Monitor the bank’s social media pages and monitor customer reviews that come in via Yelp or Google. Follow up on reviews internally, with our Virtual Compliance Manager, and with the Better Business Bureau as warranted.
• In conjunction with our website host and developer, maintain and update content on the company website, while also keeping an accurate log of revisions made.
• Work with our Virtual Compliance Manager to adhere to and maintain accurate compliance records as it relates to our marketing materials and disclosures, organize records of advertisements and other promotional materials for FDIC examinations and other reviews.
• Support public relations initiatives as warranted.
• Receive, record, and file all community donations and sponsorship requests. Work with the Executive Assistant to the President to determine participation levels and provide follow up on requests.
• Purchase and track promotional giveaways; keep inventory of promotional giveaways and other materials such as signage, posters, etc. to ensure that supplies are sufficient to meet bank activities and support client relationships.
• As directed, work with outside vendors and obtain pricing and production information as needed to maximize dollars spent.
• Maintain and update electronic signage, including outside marquee and lobby TVs.
• Prepare, review and track marketing expenses and invoices and forward invoices to the Executive Assistant of the President for approval and payment.
• Distribute, collect, and tabulate customer surveys and other market research in accordance with the strategic plan of the bank.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications preferred.
• At least two to three years of relevant work experience in a banking environment is preferred.
• Experience with (or passion for) content creation, management, creative writing, and advertising concepts.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively discuss the bank’s products and services.
• Excellent PC skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with Photoshop, WordPress, & web editing packages preferred.
