BIG PICTURE:
We are looking for a Human Resources Associate to join our dynamic team of talented professionals. This individual will work under the Dhar Mann brand supporting Dhar Mann Studios and LiveGlam. The ideal person will have strong communication and people skills. They will also have an in-depth understanding of human resources best practices and knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws. This individual will work closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager supporting a wide range of HR duties such as maintaining confidential employee records, creating and implementing new reporting, policies and procedures, assisting with payroll functions, and providing general administrative support. Ultimately, this individual will thrive in a fast paced and rapidly growing environment with a strong ability to work independently on a broad variety of projects.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
Ensuring smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
Evaluating production work practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the applicable health and safety regulatory requirements pertaining to Covid-19
Assisting with maintenance of proper records of employee attendance and leaves and ensures accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
Performing administrative duties, such as maintaining employee databases and keeping tasks in Monday.com up to date
Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records and communications
Helping plan and oversee employee recognition events
Assisting with payroll functions and collecting time and attendance records, while ensuring the organization of our current payroll process
Acting as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
Conducting or assisting with new hire orientation
Assisting the HR Manager in policy formulation
WHAT YOU HAVE:
2+ years of experience within Human Resources
Knowledge of Covid-19 safety protocols
Proficient with Google Suite or related software
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
Knowledge of state and local employment law and human resources responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Human Resources Associate will report directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager
WHO YOU OVERSEE:
Currently, the Human Resources Associate has no personnel reporting directly to him or her

All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA!
WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is Mon-Friday 9a-5p (flexible hours will be discussed)

This approach doesn’t affect any aspect of pay: you will still get compensated during your Discovery Period according to the position you are applying for and within the rate listed for this position. Our organization looks to hire the BEST of the best and we focus on finding candidates who are a strong cultural fit. We have a 3 month ‘Discovery Period’ in place that allows us to get to know each new hire better and assess their skill set. Management-level roles will be part of a different Discovery Period for each step of the ladder (but again this does not affect your pay or compensation package).
