Job Title: Manager, US Ocean Operations

As a Manager, US Ocean Operations, in concert with Head of Ocean Freight operations USA, you will effectively and efficiently manage the Ocean freight processes within the U.S.; including operational performance as it relates to quality, productivity, profitability, growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively communicate and support U.S. Ocean Freight mission, goals, directives, policies and procedures.
- Develop and monitor product Metric performance and drive Global KPI on a US level.
- Develop, implement, and support Ocean Operational Best Practices in all locations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Other Government Agency Regulations.
- Continuously develop, cultivate and maintain strong carrier and industry relationships.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Drive and support system application development/improvement processes related to operations.
- Participate in and support Sales efforts.
- Participate and facilitate the proper implementation of key customers.
- Provide product and process training and ensure compliance with all key Metrics for the country.
- Lead US operational calls to address operational changes and challenges.
- Process updates/changes for CW1
- Applications Authority (CW1, FSI, FRP, Sick File Dashboard, Station Metrics)
- Work with Stations on Sick Files to improve overall percentage.
- Document and drive Ocean Processes inside and outside of CW1
- Engage in all OFR Projects
- Perform root cause analysis to identify gaps or breaks in OFR processes
Skills / Requirements:
- Minimum 7 – 10 years of industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of DGF organization and processes.
- Extensive knowledge of Cargo Wise
- Experience and ability to develop new business processes/procedures, revise established procedures (as necessary), and drive compliance of the same.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must be a Super User – minimum CCS, preferred CCP
- Ability to mentor and train.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong presentation skills
