Accounting Associate is responsible for running accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable, receivable and disbursements. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Associate will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

I. Essential Functions:

• Receive and verify invoices for goods and services
• Match invoices with receiving paper work from Purchasing Agent
• Input vendor invoices into accounting system for payment
• Record ACH transactions – both receivables and payables in software system
• Assist with employee expense reports
• Assist Customer Service with inputting orders when needed
• Receive in vendor purchase orders
• Perform filing and general administrative tasks
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Post customer payments and make bank deposits
• Collect on past due customer accounts by sending invoice reminders and communication with customers via phone or email
• Compute costing on Service Reports
• Handle customer and supplier credit applications
• Process expense reports
• Prepare commission payments for all salesperson
