Health Resource AdvocatesDistrict Health Department #10 seeks 10 full-time Health Resource Advocates (HRAs). These positions will be based in open sites across our 10 counties and some of these positions will work remotely. These are grant positions for one year with potential of renewal next summer.Duties: The Health Resource advocate will provide front-line support for local school district’s COVID response including reporting, contact tracing, testing, vaccination, etc. They will be helping school districts identify emerging COVID-related health concerns, & strengthen best health practices by providing consultation, prevention services, & PH strategies for the districts. The HRA will be assigned to cover 1-2 counties with support to other counties as needed.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. No Experience required; one year of community experience recommended. Strong communication & interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate in a professional, non-judgmental & empathetic manner maintaining emotional & cultural competency. Ability to work independently & as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with the use of computers & ability to navigate databases. Experience in health education, school health, or social services preferred. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not requiredDistrict health provides a competitive benefit package.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $22.29 per hourBenefits:
