Job Title: Operations Manager

Reports to: Owner

Job Purpose

Our Service Operations Manager is essential to our success by coordinating the service operations of our company. Key tasks include efficiently managing our service technicians, monitoring, analyzing department performance, while planning and implementing improvements to all departments.

Wage & Classification

• This is an exempt position.
• Starting wage: $110,000 – $130,000/ per year.

Essential Elements of the Job

• Provide feedback, coaching, and ongoing technical and communication training to increase performance.
• Review service tickets to ensure all field technicians adhere to procedural standards of reporting and documentation. In addition, verify that opportunities for sales have been realized.
• Ensure that service plans and add-on-products products are offered on every appropriate call.
• Oversee inventory control, reordering parts, material waste and invoice coaching.
• Ensure that safety procedures are being followed on all install and service calls including that PPE is provided and utilized.
• Ensure that a monthly after-hours service schedule is completed and posted 10 days prior to the beginning of each month with a goal to satisfy emergency warranty situations for our clients.
• Check the dispatch board each morning to ensure each call is on the appropriate technician.
• Work closely with Fleet Manager to locate new vehicles and provide purchasing advice to owner.
• Ensure technicians complete appropriate checklists for each call.
• Ensure that field personal are solicitating for positive reviews.
• Drive employee engagement.

Additional Responsibilities of the Job

• Spend 80% of work time in the office and 20% in the field.
• Work with our management team to credit and implement our marketing plan and process.
• Handle all escalated service concerns from start to finish that require a supervisor visit.
• Schedule all vendor trainings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Expected shifts for this position include Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 4:00
• Be available to answer phone calls after hours.

Required:

• 5 or more years of operations management experience
• Strong phone etiquette and technology skills

Preferred:

• Strong HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience

Performance Expectations

• Call back percentage in service and install less than 5%
• Service Plan conversion at or above 35%
• Repair Average ticket $485
• Service Average ticket $385
