Dominion Transport Services Corporation Hiring for Logistics Operations Manager Job at Toledo, OH Full Time

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for managing a FedEx contract by which we have 8-12 routes.

The key responsibilities of this position are:

• Create and optimize schedules
• Ensure safety training is completed
• Reviewing vehicle conditions pre-trip
• Maintain vehicles with local vendor support
• Attend Weekly FedEx meetings
• Interview new drivers
• Create and maintain safety programs
• Confirm payroll/timesheets weekly
• Be a backup to drivers daily for call-offs, vacations, extra volume, helping with other contractors ·
• Be available during the day by phone and ready to leave at any time (you never know what can happen)
• Transfer pickups in the morning
• Consistently check route progress on FCC and driver stop statues on daily service worksheets.
• Handle issues with bad addresses over the phone with drivers and before dispatching if possible.
• Help physically with loading during the sort, handle QA as soon as possible to get out the same day. (re-packs, address corrections, customer-specific needs, coordinate with drivers on business closures)
• Constantly check stop count throughout sort (looking for sizing, bulk, etc.)
• Optimize DRO nightly and analyze routes (look for bulk, stop count, driver abilities.)
• Move anchor areas around based on volume, driver’s abilities, and driver days off nightly
• Take phone calls from drivers, CPC, and customers.

• Be the line of communication for FedEx to provide resolution for issues such as possible missed pick-ups, delivery issues, and driver information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
