Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Leader specializing in the Invoice and Tax work process preferably located in Midland, Michigan, but also will consider applicants from Terneuzen or Sao Paulo. The global people leader role is accountable for ensuring global work process and compliance requirements are met in the system designs by building, testing, and implementing the appropriate solutions. It focusses on business solutions for invoicing and tax. This position will also guide and influence the work being done within the DSS for these two work processes. The position is accountable for maintaining key relationships with our invoicing and tax area along with third party suppliers.
Key Role responsibilities include:
Leading a global team of employees for Invoicing and Tax
Work with stakeholders to evaluate and validate new enhancement requirements and develop functional design documents for IT which are used for technical design.
Expert in the technical landscape for SAP, Invoice and Tax software.
Clearly understand the various touchpoints between our invoicing work processes and other functions
Perform run the business work process support for issues reported by operations and businesses.
Provide consultation support for questions from stakeholders and provide creative solution suggestions to improve current business processes.
Analyze and review the root cause of issues jointly with IS Solution Managers along with solution development.
Coordinate with internal and external support functions and assign tasks across work groups and functions.
Lead and direct test teams and review test results for new solutions and provide approval for migration to the Production environment.
Validate migration results and communicate the solutions to stakeholders.
Develop and lead training sessions for all internal and external users.
Work as focal point for above work process for new projects. This includes assessing requirements, impact, defining gaps, performing Product Test, organize and lead User Acceptance Testing, coordinating data readiness and providing support for implementation and post-production hyper-care.
Lead team for SAP and bolt-on Tax/Invoicing software upgrades & enhancements
Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors (Sovos & Thomson Reuters). This includes attending vendor events/updates, meeting quarterly with vendor leadership, and providing references to external companies relating to Dow’s experience with the software.
Responsible for estimating and managing overall project and work process budgets and resource allocation.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience
The ability to work legally in the country for which you are applying. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or IT.
At least 10 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
Previous experience working in SAP, reporting systems and/or analytics.
Experience in change management efforts.
