Senior Logistics Manager: Fast-Growing DTC Organization

A fast-growing and exciting DTC organization has a newly created Senior Management role and is looking to hire a world-class operator to help the business manage finished goods inventory and inject best practice and continuous improvement into areas such as Inventory Management, Freight Management, 3PL Warehousing and Network Optimization, and Strategic Project Management to drive Cost Reduction initiatives across the Supply Chain. The position also manages a team of multiple direct reports, with occasional travel (approx. 25%) to meet and visit 3rd party warehouses, 3rd party logistics providers etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of direct reports
- Oversee managed 3rd party transportation & logistics service providers
- Manage and develop 3PL warehousing operations, measuring and managing their performance
- Support and drive initiatives for freight optimization, cost review, freight bids
- Track and monitor inventory levels across the End2End supply chain
- Act as primary supply chain point of contact for IT in rolling out improvements and implementation of ERP systems
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 5+ years experience managing 3PLs and/or 3rd party Transportation Carriers
- DTC/Ecommerce experience (essential)
- Strong process improvement & cost saving accomplishments
- International Project Management experience
- Experience with managing teams of direct reports
