The Manager of Accounts Receivable, Credit and Cash Application, is a critical member of the North American shared service center, responsible to drive the execution of key finance processes. This role will plan, organize, direct and manage activities ensuring accurate receivables, collections, cash application and customer credit for multiple divisions. The individual will be responsible to convey Global Policies to the stakeholders across the multiple business units . The role requires someone who can identify areas of opportunity and be able to initiate action plans to work toward continuous improvement. This position reports to the Director, Accounts Receivable.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify area of improvements and efficiencies by partnering closely with the International Shared Services, Sales, Operations and other internal stakeholders to establish best practices for areas of responsibility
• Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships within the organization; engage with cross-functional partners proactively in completion of job responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific policies and procedures
• Manage customer credit approval process, in line with corporate policy, including credit insurance.
• Maintaining master data quality in-line with global policies.
• Manage Cash Application process in conjunction with International Shared Service Center, to meet established KPIs. Ensure timely follow up of outstanding issues.
• Monitor and manage Customer Collection Teams Leads to meet pre-established targets.
• Manage customer claims for timely resolution.
• Responsible for reporting of factored receivables.
• Collaborate with team to complete month-end tasks and reporting.
• Responsible for interim and year-end audits for areas of responsibility.
• Partner with HR to recruit and hire best in class talent
• Provide Senior Management with periodic overview of risk assessment

Team Management:

• Working with, training and coaching team members
• Monitoring and tracking team performance against established productivity and quality metrics
• Monitoring and managing teamwork queues, prioritizing, and effectively delegating tasks to members to ensure high standards and obligations are met
• Organizing and participating in necessary meetings to discuss and resolve operational and technical issues

Qualifications:

• Exemplary interpersonal and customer interaction skills
• Strong data skills, particularly MicroSoft Excel
• Situational analysis and independent thinking
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Track record of improving processes and increasing efficiencies
• Basic accounting knowledge and experience
• SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred
• Intermediate or Advanced MS Office user
• 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, or similar area
• Transportation experience a plus
• Associates or bachelor’s degree
