DynamiX Web Design Hiring for Front End/Responsive Developer at Kennesaw, GA Full Time

We’re looking for a front-end and responsive developer who is on the bleeding edge of responsive design technology. We need an experienced developer who can take our completed, client-approved designs and code them into a fully functional website using the highest quality, standards-compliant HTML5, and CSS3. This is a full-time position, in Kennesaw, GA. We are looking to fill this position immediately. While we are working mostly remotely these days, we do plan to return to working from the office more often as things return to “normal”.

Job Responsibilities:
Build complete projects by turning mockups from our award-winning designers into fully responsive, dynamic layouts powered by our Octane CMS, using HTML/CSS/ES6 JS (and occasionally VueJS):

Build and own development of assigned projects/tasks

Refine UX and scope of layouts and tasks

Optimize all new site builds using PageSpeed Insights

Standards test sites so that they are performing at a high level

ADA/color contrast test sites

Browser test on all semi-recent iterations of major browsers

Investigate and troubleshoot various issues that surface during development

Provide support and add features to launched sites

Communicate with coworkers about tasks and projects

Be self sufficient with your work load and timelines

Discuss and refine current workflows to continue pushing stack forward

Required Skills:
Applicant must have at least one year of professional experience as a front-end website developer.

Applicant must receive an above-average score on an HTML/CSS/JS code test we provide.

Experience slicing images out of Photoshop mockups.

HTML5, CSS3 – this is the backbone of the job duties.

Responsive Design and flexible layouts.

PHP – must be comfortable working with PHP.

Hand-coding Javascript ES6.

Strong sense of humor is a must.

Extra Credit:
Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. Sass, LESS).

Experience validating (semi-)recent iterations of all major browsers.

Our Hiring Process

1) You submit your resumé, our team reviews it.

2) Candidates who we think have the required experience and skills are sent a short “front-end questionnaire” to determine further fitness for the job.

3) Those candidates who answer our questions correctly and thoughtfully will be sent a code challenge. In the challenge, you’ll be asked to code up a single layout from a flattened mockup. The final product should be fully responsive, browser tested, and meet the scope as described in the included “readme” file.

4) If your code challenge is up to snuff, we’ll conduct a virtual interview or two with you and various team members.

5) If we decide you’d fit in and can hit the ground running at DynamiX, we’ll send you an offer letter, and ask when you can start.
