Job Description Title: Assistant Controller
Company: Earth Sun Moon Trading Company, Inc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Reconciling monthly bank statements
- Running monthly sales reports
- Compiling commission and royalty statements
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Creating quarterly and yearly Federal, state, and local reports and payments
- Keeping the company compliant with changing state sales tax laws
Qualifications:
- Minimum – Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years related Accounting/Finance/payroll experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Intuit QuickBooks experience would be a strong plus
- Needs to be deadline-oriented and have great attention to detail
- Collegial attitude and good written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills – statistical and financial
- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
