POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for basic mechanical diagnostic and repairs, in addition to general vehicle care and day-to-day maintenance of a vehicle and basic service writing tasks.
POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct vehicle oil changes
- Complete tire mounting, balancing, repairs, replacements, rotations, and alignments
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
- Assist Technician and Master Technician as requested
- Conduct removal of trash and scrap metal and empty oil caddies
- Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the day and again at the end of the day
- Conduct proper labeling/usage of chemicals and equipment as required by MSDS
- Complete vehicle inspection worksheets
- Test drive vehicle to assess and confirm customer concerns
- Conduct break work, steering, suspension, exhaust work, and starting/charging systems
- Assist in customer interaction to confirm vehicle concerns
- Conduct external continuing education and advanced certification
- Support the training of the Technician Apprentice as assigned by the Service Manager
- Conduct service writing and information for ticketing system
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Highschool degree or GED preferred but not required
Experience:
- 2-3 years of industry experience specifically related to automotive repair
- Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented environment, with the ability to be adaptable, and dependable with a strong work ethic
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid Class D driver’s license required
- Air conditioning certification preferred
Other:
- General hand and power tools required to be provided by the associate
