Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, this exempt level position is responsible for various human resources functions including but not limited to: Employment Law Compliance, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Strategic Planning, Recruiting and Training & Development. This role will support the mission, vision, values, policies and procedures of Eau Claire Cooperative Health Center (dba Cooperative Health).
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Provides a high level of service directly to organization employees.
Interfaces regularly with organization leaders to support effective workforce management practices and strategies.
Assists with recruitment and retention plans and initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Identifies programs and reinforces employment practices to position the organization as an employer of choice.
Enhances employee engagement by developing and implementing activities to encourage effective performance, engagement, and commitment among employees.
Develops, tracks and reports on metrics to leaders for the purposes of informed decision making regarding workforce management.
Develops on-boarding and retention strategies for areas of responsibility.
Uses human resources planning models to identify competency and skills gaps.
Introduces and coordinates ongoing training at various levels to support the organization’s mission, increase levels of staff performance and foster efficient employee relations.
Conducts employee investigation as needed.
Executes department strategic and operational goals.
Assists with the planning, development, implementation, budgeting, and support of department functions.
Provides guidance, coaching and direction to employees at all levels in accordance with the organization’s policies, standards, and practices to ensure fair, consistent and effective operations.
Conducts audits to ensure compliance with all required employment laws including FMLA, Workers Compensation, ADA and FLSA.
Complies with Corporate Compliance Program and Privacy/Security Programs.
Designing as well as implementing company policies in compliance with our long-term business goals
Ensuring our HR processes adhere to all legal standards
Supporting managers and staff on daily issues
Coordinating with CHRO/HR Director for crafting organization-wide objectives and strategies
Identifying current and future needs of the company
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with two (2) years’ multi-site health care experience.
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration ore related field with five (5) years’ multi-site health care experience.
Kronos experience preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.
Thorough knowledge of federal, state and other labor/employment laws.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, leaders, peers and customers.
