HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

This position is responsible for the supervision and administration of all Human Resources functions of Eck Industries, Inc., which employees 220 employees in one location in Manitowoc, WI. This includes employment, training, communications, compliance, safety and occupational health, labor relations, wage & salary administration, and security.

We are looking for a collaborator/driver who can identify and implement positive change to strive for results and improvements in our organization while holding others accountable to organizational rules and processes.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Plan, schedule and supervise all functions within the Human Resources Department at Eck Industries, Inc.
• Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Ensure compliance and required reporting with company policies, collective bargaining agreements and regulatory bodies concerning human resources matters
• Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreement with respect to grievances and grievance procedures, wages/salaries, employee welfare, benefits, union practices and other stipulations
• Oversee employee benefits administration for all employees
• Conduct wage, salary, and benefit surveys to assure competitiveness in the area
• Counsel department managers and supervisors on matters of growth, discipline, and conflict resolution
• Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigation
• Conduct employee counseling, as required
• Ensure and oversee training programs (including in-house apprentice program) are in place to address the training needs of plant, salaried and hourly employees
• Coordinate programs to address absenteeism, turnover, and employee wellness
• With EHS Manager, hold monthly safety committee meetings with union, ensure safety programs are in place to minimize injuries and worker’s compensation costs
• Backup for payroll department as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• 7+ years related experience as HR Professional
• Experience in manufacturing environments
• Experience with unions is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
