Controller
*We are seeking a savvy controller to guide our company through our hyper growth phase. We are looking for someone with a CFO mindset, who would like to grow into that role. This individual is analytical, detail oriented, extremely organized and has the desire to grow in a fast paced environment.

*We are transitioning our books from Xero to Netsuite, so experience in Netsuite is a plus.

Edloe Finch Family of Brands (edloefinch.com + albanypark.com) is a rapidly growing, Houston, TX based, e-commerce company specializing in manufacturing and retailing chic modern furniture. Our top brand is Albany Park. We wholesale and retail our brands on a variety of online platforms. The majority of our business is direct-to-consumer from our websites. We ship our proprietary products from 3 warehouses in the United States.

The Position:
We are seeking an innovative, detail oriented leader for the role of Accounting Manager/Controller. You will lead all aspects of our finance function, including financial planning, AR/AP, banking relationships and accounting to take us to the next stage of growth. The ideal candidate will be focused on real-time reporting of the financial status of the business as a whole. You should be a team player with a keen eye on growth in sales while being focused and aware of all variables that impact Net Operating Income. The ideal candidate is a true leader and a perfectionist.

While working closely with the CEO, you will be responsible for accurate, timely reporting to our lenders and investors. This individual is analytical, detail oriented, extremely organized and is driven to succeed. You are someone who takes charge and demands excellence from everybody around you; both co-workers and business partners.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance
• Manage AP/ AR / Payroll/ Banking/ Reconciliations
• Translate our numbers into meaningful information that drives policy and strategic decisions
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financials with big picture observations and recommendations
• You will be responsible for the integrity of the company’s financial statements and tax reporting.
• Create periodic KPI reports with relevant analysis
• Prepares documents for year end federal / state taxes
• Payroll recording into accounting system
• Prepares 1099’s
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Executive Team

Requirements:

• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Has 5+ years of experience working as Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager
• Mastery of Xero and/or Quickbooks accounting software
• Strong technical financial accounting knowledge (GAAP)
• Strong math skills and an analytical mindset; enjoy finding the “why” behind the numbers.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character with demonstrated high moral and ethical behavior.
• Ability to work independently in a growing, dynamic, fast-paced environment with extensive multi-tasking demands.
• Possesses the energy, ambition, as well as the desire to succeed and learn.

Not required but a big PLUS:

• Experience with NetSuite

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
