Frontend Developer/Data Visualization Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Power BI Developer with strong user interface design and development skills to join and grow with our team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to extract requirements from stakeholders and recommend reporting solutions, including report design and visuals
• Excellent analytical skills
• Responsible for the development and deployment of their reporting and dashboard technologies
• Be an ambassador for IT, partnering across the organization and building strong relationships
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies
• Partner with key stakeholders to provide high-impact business solutions
• Ensure appropriate documentation is created and maintained

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience working with Frontend development, Microsoft Power BI and administration with experience developing Front-end visualizations in Python and Power BI
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information System, Analytics, or related field
• Must have UI development experience using React, Redux, and WebSocket building high performance UIs
• Experience in R/Python scripting is required
• Develop technical specifications and documentation
• Financial industry experience nice to have but not required. There are some expectations to mentor and get up to speed with domain knowledge
• Must have experience successfully delivering software projects into production
• Develop interactive visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Microsoft Power BI desktop
• Develop custom visuals, charts, and measures as per requirements
• Understand business requirements in BI context and design efficient data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation
• Experience with Python (preferred)
• Good interpersonal/communication skills

Desired Skills

• Expert level report designer focused on end-user experiences
• Experience with query performance tuning
• Querying Snowflake cloud data warehouse
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with Agile using Jira and Confluence
• Microsoft Certification in Power BI

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
