Education Advanced, Inc Hiring for DevOps Engineer I – (REMOTE) at Tyler, TX Full Time

Education Advanced, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer I that will work on a team to manage and develop the company’s code deployments. This is a highly collaborative position, working with a variety of team members to implement and manage good practices for the CI/CD processes. An ideal candidate for this is a self-starter who is highly communicative and can work with others in organizing workflows. This candidate must also have good problem-solving skills to identify problems and correctly match technology solutions to any issues with code deployment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

• Work closely with QA team to ensure code is seamlessly deployed and tested
• Coordinate rollout and manage software deployment
• Work with other team members to ensure that all code which is deployed uses an appropriate roll-out methodology (e.g. Blue-Green deployment)
• Handles rights management in all code-related assets
• Set up monitoring and alerting related to software rollout and unit testing
• Participate in evaluating products and services to improve velocity of code deployment
• Monitor and diagnose problems with software rollout
• Operate as an on-call technical L2 support resource in Infrastructure team for all issues related to software deployment
• 1-2 years’ experience with software development

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education BA or BS, or at least 3 years’ experience in relevant IT Operations
• Work experience with Jenkins and other relevant DevOps tools.
• Proficient in Git and Git workflows
• Working understanding of development lifecycle
• Familiarity with methodologies for deploying software, and an understanding of implementing unit testing as part of software deployments
• AWS certification (especially AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) preferred but not required
• Experience with Terraform strongly preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Up to 25% Travel Required (Domestic and/or International)
• Must be based in the US
• Ability and desire to adapt and acquire the skillset needed to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company
• Other Duties as assigned
