Job Description

We are looking for a frontend developer who is passionate about driving innovation in web development by building decoupled, composable and scalable headless ecommerce. You will be responsible for creating performant web experiences using modern react frameworks such as Hydrogen and React 18 deployed at the edge with origin-less personalization and ML-driven optimization. This position reports directly to the Head of Growth.

Responsibilities

• Create decoupled, compartmentalized and composable frontend components with global stylings (Storybook) to support fast and scalable web development.

• Design websites using static-site generators and server-side rendering (next.js, hydrogen) and continuously optimize performance, speed and core web vitals.

• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers and product designers to streamline web development operations using design systems (Figma, Zeroeight), headless CMS and data tools (Contnetful, Frontitude) and automated product customization, development and deployment tools and workflows.

• Develop landing page variations for multivariate tests and bandit optimization to support client-side and full-stack experimentation at scale.

• Have influence beyond functional boundaries, such as with product on technical feasibility and roadmap, or with testing engineering tools and execution needs.

• You will be a part of an agile and energetic engineering team, supporting the adoption of modern ecommerce technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of FrontEnd Engineering experience
• At least 8 years of Software Engineering experience
• At least 3 years of experience with React.js
• Frontend: NextJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React.js, Hydrogen, Redux
• Infrastructure: Jamstack, Cloudflare Workers, GCP Cloud Functions, Apache, Nginx,

Redis, Cloudflare Pages, Contentful, Zeroheight, Storybook, Figma, Frontitude

• *Experience writing components and pages in isolation with Storybook.

• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with building Node.js applications
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills

Plus/Bonus:

• Experience with headless Shopify and react-based UI kits for building custom storefronts
• Backend: Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, Markdown, API-based headless CMS
• Master’s degree in computer science

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 per year
