We are First Light Wilderness Therapy and we are on a mission to drive teen and young adult anxiety, depression, and suicide from all time highs of today to all-time lows by 2028. To do so we need great people on our team just like you.

Our program is designed to support the building of a foundation for healthy living that is sustainable and includes counseling and classes for the parents or guardians.
Set in the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia, making it an ideal setting for our evidence-based outdoor behavioral healthcare.
We are seeking a Program Operations Assistant that are passionate to help struggling teens by ensuring they have needed supplies and safe transport for their wilderness therapy.
The mission of the role is to provide support to the Operations team. The role will help transport students in and out of the field area, maintain vehicle cleanliness, as well as assisting with packing and cleaning gear.
Responsibilities:
Some duties include:
- Safely drive students in and out of the field for enrollments, graduations and medical visits.
- Pack gear for incoming students.
- Transportation field needs (i.e., shuttles, resupply needs, emergency needs, picking up observers).
- Clean the vehicles weekly and update the vehicle use logs and report any vehicle needs to supervisor.
- Assist the Logistics Team with packing food, needs and prepping for showers.
- Complete paperwork thoroughly and on-time.
- Ensure emotional safety for all staff and students.
- Have good working relationships with all departments at First Light Wilderness Therapy.
Qualifications:
To be successful you will:
- Enjoy being outdoors in the wilderness
- Be resourceful and have good judgement
- Have a talent of connecting well with teens
- Be a natural leader with excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Be passionate about helping teens learn and heal
- Be able to maintain healthy boundaries to role model healthy communication
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must obtain First Aid & CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
- Must hold valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (prefer a love or likeness for driving).
- Must be able to pass Background Criminal Investigation.
- Pass and complete company provided SCM crisis prevention and de-escalation course.
