If you are an INFORMATION SYSTEMS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you willhave responsibilities that include but are not limited to production support of our manufacturing execution systems, leading all aspects of computer, label printer, scan gun and scan station setup and support. Additionally, you will analyze production line issues, resolve them or coordinate the appropriate response team to resolve the issues. IT security is paramount and Emerson’s Enterprise IT will provide the standards and oversite.
We will work together, allowing you to gain the experience and confidence to become the first line of IT support.
AS AN ANALYST, IT SYSTEMS SUPPORT,YOU WILL:
Maintain safe guard the facility network and end point devices to Emerson Enterprise IT security standards.
Support production scan guns, scan stations, PCs, Printers, displays, monitors
Manage software updates and patching through LANDesk
Diagnose production issues, accurately define the problem as related to systems and applications, call in appropriate support as necessary
Participate in plant projects supporting the technology implmentation.
Coordinate and support Enterprise IT initiatives and infrastructure hardware updates
Understand key underlying processes and system integrations- barcode use, MES integrations, PLC integrations and network subnets. (eKanban, sub inventory transfers etc)
Participate in cross functional work teams
WHO YOU ARE:
You analyze issues to define the problem accurately before resolving the issue or calling in appropriate resources.You are able to quickly adapt to a changing environment and priorities in order support the production line. You have the ability to learn new things quickly and apply it to support the business.You apply your IT systems knowledge to help improve processes or change processes for the better using technology.You will be a trusted resource in the plant for others in explaining, solving problems and helping the operation.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field AND a minimum two (2) years experience in the information technology field with emphasis on :
IT Helpdesk support and troubleshooting
Understanding of basic business processes – materials, production
Data communications
Windows operating system, SQL server environments
Solid problem solving and diagnostic skills
Able to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
Must have a strong appetite for quickly learning new technologies and must be able to quickly adapt to changes
Ability to travel up to 5% for the position.

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces.
