Employment Enterprises Hiring for Benefits Administrator at Remote Full Time

Temporary Solutions, Inc. is currently working with one of the world’s leading associations of professional city and county managers and other employees who serve local governments. We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to oversee and administer the health and welfare employee benefits programs.
Benefits Administrator Responsibilities:

• Monitor eligibility, limitations, and restrictions of plan participations and ensures compliance with both plan provisions and government requirements; Coordinates the design and communication of annual benefit enrollment materials. Assists in drafting legal compliance documentation (SPDs, SARs)
• Respond in a timely manner to the inquiries of managers, employees, and appropriate external personnel to ensure accurate employee benefits information is disseminated. Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures and communicating with insurance carriers about employee concerns
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and programs; obtaining qualified opinions; communicating effects of changes to management and enforcing adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions
• Administer leave programs in accordance with law, regulations, policies, and procedures * Research current benefit trends and regulatory/legislative requirements and recommends programs/changes to the Chief People Officer
• Compile, analyzes and reports benefits data for strategic planning and evaluation; identifies benefit options and best practices by studying programs, participating in benchmark surveys and obtaining advice from consultants
• Maintain benefit records by developing recordkeeping systems, initiating new-hire benefits and recording changes. Prepares special reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit information and trends
• Reconcile benefits accounts, prepares benefits and utilization analyses to ensure ICMA receives the best value for its benefits investment; reconciles and approves billing statements
• Oversee the FMLA/DCFMLA, Worker’s Compensation and ADA/injured worker programs
• Maintain HRIS database, prepares reports as needed and requested; Oversees/directs the administration of COBRA compliance

Benefits Administrator Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration; Business Administration; HR Management or related discipline or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, and administration of employee benefits programs, including flexible benefit programs, financial analysis, and budgeting
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years progressive experience in administering employee benefits programs
• CBP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certifications, preferred
