Transport Team Lead

COMPENSATION:
$60,000/yr + profitability bonus
Overtime paid as required by law

SCHEDULE:

• The Transport Team Lead will work in a Full-Time capacity, on a schedule that is flexible for personal needs
• Exceptions will be made for some operational commitments on weekends and holidays.

• Place of work will be in Rifle and Hayden, Colorado.
• 24/48/96 hour shift fill-in for ambulance staffing will be required,
• Outside of this requirement work hours and place of work will be flexible based on operational needs and needs of the team.

• Serving on the dispatch team will be required.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
Under the Director Of Operations, the Transport Team Lead will perform duties associated with managing operational transport bases within a region, staff and business in addition to assigned collateral duties in order to provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee must possess and apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of a Team
Leader in a dignified and compassionate manner, including but not limited to:

• Operate, lead and manage the Transport Team to achieve excellence, growth and profitability
• Support line staff in day to day operations of the transport team
• Ensure that high quality clinical care is delivered at all times
• Monitor operational functions and ensure compliance with company standards and expectations
• Conduct outreach to promote market growth
• Coordinate with Supplies & Logistics to specify needs
• Promote team building and staff recognition
• Ensure customers are provided with quality service
• Ensure teams are compliant with company standards
• Encourage change and improvement
• Function autonomously
• May be assigned collateral duties:
• Safety – monitor a safety program
• Scheduling
• Training

Specific Expectations:

• Monitor staff satisfaction and job fulfillment
• Ensure staff are engaged in activities that elevate the performance of the organization
• Ensure all assigned Transport staff are trained and oriented prior to working
• Monitor staff for meeting daily expectations
• Clean vehicles
• Clean housing
• Ambulances are in a constant state of readiness
• Response time goals are met
• Daily education is occurring
• Daily outreach is occurring
• Base supply/stock levels are functional

• Monitor vehicles for required maintenance
• Oversee required maintenance of biomed and other equipment (IV Pumps, EKGs, etc…)
• Ensure all operations are compliant with local, federal and state laws

• Conduct regular team meetings
• Conduct regular meetings with the Medical Director for QA Chart Reviews
• Ensure peer review QA is being accomplished

The employee must also:

• Meet requirements of an EMS Unlimited Transport Paramedic;
• Be flexible – work shift schedule may vary, and the start and shift times may vary due to the nature of the business;
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses;
• Assure that all personal certifications, licenses and registrations are up-to-date; and
• Conduct themself in a courteous, helpful, dignified and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors and or the public.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of high school completion
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 5 years of field EMS experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• The employee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, current state Paramedic certification and CPR.
• FEMA ICS training 100 is required
• Additional certifications preferred: PHTLS, ATLS, PALS, EPC, AMLS, Hazmat

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
