Starting Salary: $24.07–$28.83 (depending on experience)

About this Position

The Energy Services Analyst is an energy services job that markets various energy efficiency, renewable energy, rebate, demand management, and other programs to customers. Under the general supervision of the Director of Electric, this energy analyst will also assist in cost-of-service study projects, rate analysis and development, load analysis, and load and revenue forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in coordination and performance of projects for service analysis, rate analysis/design, and power load analysis and forecasting
• Track and analyze customer load, account information, and rate applications
• Develop, maintain, and promote energy efficiency programs and load factor improvement strategies
• Track and analyze monthly customer class sales and wholesale power purchases

• Identify Key Accounts (KA) needs, resolve KA issues, and outline KA strategies

• Coordinate with the Marketing Department to develop public communications on industry programs, issues, and trends
• Prepare reports and conduct surveys, studies, and special projects as required
• Assist in annual preparation of budget proposals
• Design and document computer-based models, databases, and data handling
• Benchmark, research, and implement beneficial programs and business opportunities alongside the Director and Superintendent
• Keep up with related industry trends, legislation, and available grants that may benefit Edmond Electric and the Edmond community
• Collaborate with OMPA as needed on programs, services, data, and other industry-related items and information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years of related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance carrier

Necessary Skills

• Strong mathematical ability
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with Advanced CISInfinity, Cityworks, and ArcMap (preferred)
• Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
• Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
