HR Compliance Manager
Job Description
Summary:
The position serves as a trusted HR advisor and strategic partner aligning business objectives with HR strategies. Partners with leaders to proactively address human capital objectives and needs of the business including talent acquisition, talent, associate relations, compensation, associate engagement and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop strategy, scope and implementation plans for HR projects, applying core project management, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
Monitor and research changes in state and federal laws; analyze impact on the organization, and communicate findings to HR leadership.
Collaborate with the legal team on HR-related legal/regulatory and compliance issues.
Serve as the project manager to coordinate the impact of state and federal law on HRIS, policies, and communication with leaders and associates.
Ensure compliance with minimum wage regulations as well as pay transparency laws.
Analyze and review FLSA job classification and reclassifications requests: quality controls the job classification process for both existing and newly created positions as well as auditing existing classifications.
In partnership with HR and other business areas, draft and oversee HR policies and ensure proper approvals, auditing posting and associate acknowledgements as needed.
Contributes to due diligence related to potential M&A activities.
Leads other special projects projects as requested; may serve on various committees as assigned; attends and participates in professional group meetings.
In partnership with the compensation team, conduct analysis of internal equity for all associates leveraging Affirmative Action reporting and data.
Participate and/or lead projects and special initiatives.
Audit Federal contractors’ equal employment opportunity practices and affirmative action programs to ensure compliance and validate tools used to determine adverse impact.
Enforce employment/labor laws (e.g., Title VII, Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, FMLA, ADA, etc) by reviewing bank policies, programs, practices and procedures while checking for deficiencies.
Audit personnel activity and selection processes to validate tools used to determine adverse impact.
Maintain compliance with I-9 records and E-Verification requirements.
HR Administrator of compliance training records and reporting.
Ensure that process documentation remains current and that process changes are effectively managed from a control perspective.
Track compliance poster requirements and ensure appropriate posters are displayed in all physical office locations and electronically.
Coordinate HR data required by internal and external audit to assist with regulatory examinations.
Identify process improvements and efficiencies while learning about the business and how we operate
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Advanced business acumen with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal business partners.
Must have advanced knowledge and demonstrated capability in Human Resources functions and practices (e.g. organizational design and consulting, associate relations, performance management, training, compensation, recruiting, associate engagement and retention, employment law, organizational development, change leadership, coaching and communications.) MUST have a comprehensive understanding of how these parts of HR integrate in providing solutions and be able to assist leaders in their implementation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate complex issues across all levels of organization.
Solid experience in HR project management, program implementation and training delivery.
Strong understanding of the importance of process controls and compliance risk.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
Minimum 10 years experience driving HR strategy in compensation, performance management, employee engagement, associate relations, and leadership coaching.
Demonstrated leadership experience
Computer and Software Skills:
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Google applications, including Google Documents, Sheets, Gmail
Workday experience a plus
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP or SCP certification preferred
