Position Summary/Objective
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization’s supply chain capabilities, enabling both the retail and production teams to operate efficiently. This position supports and consults with numerous groups and departments throughout Ethos and will work closely with outside cannabis Grower-Processors and non-cannabis suppliers and service providers. The Supply Chain Manager will monitor usage and systems control of menu system (Flowhub) and seed-to-sale tracking system Metrc, as these systems are extremely critical to our dispensary inventories and the success of our company. We are building a strong ethical and team-oriented culture at Ethos Cannabis and are looking for this position to help lead and implement this vision.
The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated leadership experience, as they will be given responsibility over the supply chain of our business, resulting in a best-in-class and innovative retail cannabis experience. Previous cannabis experience is a plus but not required; however, all candidates should have some familiarity and comfortability with cannabis.
Responsibilities
· Lead and optimize the organization’s supply chain capabilities
· Enable retail and production teams to operate efficiently
· Create, maintain, and continuously improve department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, and workflows
· Manage and control inventory systems (Point-of-Sale, Electronic Tracking System, inventory, online menus, etc.)
· Responsible for master contract pricing and negotiations (cannabis and non-cannabis, supplier, or service provider)
· Manage supplier relationships (high-level cannabis and non-cannabis)
· Work with marketing, retail, and production to drive price setting for selling Ethos products and outside supplier products
· Manage inventory levels for cannabis products to Ethos dispensaries and Warehouse to maximize inventory turn and minimize obsolescence
· Support other functional areas, including security, facilities, maintenance, shipping/receiving, transportation and logistics, and procurement
· Support business activities including continuous process improvement, forecasting and cashflow management, wholesale purchasing with external grower-processors, cannabis and non-cannabis procurement, inventory control management systems, return processes, and storage/stocking and vault layout optimization
· Ensure inventory tasks and functions are properly completed at each Ethos Dispensary and Warehouse
· Work with the Cultivation Management, Warehouse Personnel, Director Retail, and General Managers on training (procedures and systems), compliance, inventory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), issue resolution, and support with systems as needed (Metrc, Flowhub, etc.)
· In conjunction with the Director of Retail and General Manager, align and delegate inventory tasks and responsibilities
· Work collaboratively with compliance, security, and transportation leadership regarding compliance, loss prevention, security, and logistics on all mutual issues and in prioritization of needs
· Work together with Director of Retail and General Manager to address Dispensary personnel performance or other employee-related issues
· Maintain compliance with all Company policies, standards, values, and procedures
· Weekly travel to dispensary locations will be required, with daily visits needed at times, depending on issues. This role will also require frequent trips to our Grower-Processor facility. Total travel to the MA Warehouse and Dispensaries is estimated to be up to 30-45% of time.
· This position will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain in the Finance organization.
Qualifications Education:
College degree strongly preferred
Work Experience:
· 3-5 years of vendor and inventory management experience; preferably in a retail dispensary
· Considerable exposure to retail cultures focused on well-developed standard operating procedures and management and employee training programs
· Experience in and/or understanding inventory management and reconciliation
· Experience with buying/negotiating, relationship management/customer service, inventory management/systems, and logistics
· Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties

· Proficiency in computer usage including inventory management and retail point-of-sale software, all MS Office applications, email, scheduling software, online conferencing, and more
· Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret key performance metrics, and read, analyze, and interpret reports relating to inventory performance metrics
· Strong problem-solving skills including anticipatory thinking and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm composure
· Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment
Other Requirements:
· Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible
· Must pass stringent state background test requirements
Compensation:
· Approximately $90,000 annual salary with additional incentive compensation
This position is classified as Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
