General Managers
The primary responsibility of the GM is to effectively manage their store operations, and their team. It is expected that the GMs will adhere to all Company standards, including guest services, food and employee safety, employee relations and development, and financial objectives. The GM is the top representative of Even Stevens at their assigned location and is expected to perform as such. Every GM of Even Stevens leads a strong team of committed individuals to company goals and expectations
Job Skills and Requirements:
Accountability
GMs are responsible for:
· The operational success and financial growth of their restaurant
· Effectively communicating with their employee’s team goals, company policies, and all other pertinent information
· Effectively communicating with their DM and HQ all pertinent information through the appropriate channels
· 100% compliance of Company and government regulations
· Securing the company assets with integrity (Cash, equipment, inventory, etc.)
· Completing all employee and restaurant paperwork in a timely manner
· Complying with and ensuring execution of all company policies
Team Building
GMs are expected to help their teams by:
· Offering ongoing coaching for improvement
· Discipline in a constructive and properly documented manner
· Establishing one-on-one communications and formal processes
· Ensuring problem resolution is available on all shifts, and to all employees
· Building relationships of trust and respect
· Escalating applicable matters to District Manager and HR such as: performance issues, employment decisions, leaves, sexual harassment and other matters that substantiate their guidance and expertise to limit legal exposure
· Recognizing great work and maintaining a positive environment for their employees
Customer Experience
GMs are to ensure their restaurant meets company guest standards. They should lead their team to strive for 100% guest satisfaction 100% of the time. They must observe all best practices regarding customer satisfaction, including: “VOC” initiatives, utilizing the Make Up Process to address complaints in a timely manner, and providing consistent service and food quality.
Financial Understanding
The GM manages, and is responsible for, all financial aspects of the store, such as: Labor, Cost of Goods sold, supplies, and others. GMs must have a working knowledge of their day-to-day finances and review monthly numbers with the District Manager. GMs should create plans for improvement if necessary.
Store Operations
GMs will develop CORE behaviors and standards. They are to apply all operational updates and maintain existing Company systems and procedures to run their store. GMs are to assist in promoting and fulfilling all marketing campaigns They must follow proper opening, closing, safety, and security procedures, and maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs. GMs must recognize traffic patterns and plan shifts accordingly. They are to utilize the Food Safety Checklist and ensure all food safety procedures are within state and city compliance.
