Overview

EVO is the second largest provider of ground transportation services to the USPS and also transports general freight for long-standing customers. The company has grown rapidly over the last three years both organically and via acquisition. This growth now calls for the establishment of a new position for nationwide oversight of all fleet maintenance activities.

Position Overview:

• Oversee the Maintenance, Quality and Uptime of a fleet of 1,200 trucks and 1,800 trailers.

• Operations in 30 states.

• 6 significant in-house shops and 35 staff technicians

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maximize equipment uptime

• Attract, retain, train and develop a quality staff

• Manage preventative maintenance

• Manage repairs

• Oversee dealer provided repair and maintenance

• Oversee leased and rented equipment maintenance performed by provider

• Lead breakdown management

• Cost savings

• Parts inventory management

• Improve, develop and enforce standard operating procedures, manuals and on-line systems

• Oversee timely, accurate and meaningful reporting

• Oversee in-house shop equipment and tool needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a maintenance leadership position

• Hands-on leadership style

• Strong expertise in maintenance and parts systems and related reproting

• Aptitude for collecting data, statistical analysis, decision-making and business acumen.

• Builds trust & confidence with business unit leaders, vendors and end users.

• Some travel required.
