Jr. WordPress Developer – Remote Position – Contract to Hire

Position Summary

Jr. WordPress Developer is responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to code user-side applications, including visual elements like menu bars, clickable buttons and the overall layout of websites or web applications. Their duties include communicating with clients to identify their needs, optimizing websites for different formats like desktops and mobile phones and running tests to ensure code strings perform the correct functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The main goal of this role is to build out pages and blogs on existing websites, troubleshoot conversion rate optimization, and ensure SEO best practices are followed.

• Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.

• Builds location pages and blog posts for the content team

• Builds Regular Pages on any builder

• Makes any changes the client wants to make on the frontend

• Fixes Technical issues on the front end of the site

• 301 redirects, broken links

• Incorporating applications, graphics, audio and video clips into client websites

• Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones

• Routinely testing websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factors

• Fixing any website issues or bugs that arises

Minimum Qualification (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

2+ years of experience with WordPress

Proficient in HTML,CSS, & JavaScript

Familiarity with SEO

Good problem-solving skills.

Experience with Page Builders (Divi, Elementor,Gutenberg)
