Job Discription
Reports to Data Entry Operator Lead. This position operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing. Job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, and an understanding of data processing procedures and project computer systems and software.
Essential Functions:
1. Data Entry Operator I: This position works under close supervision and follows specific procedures or detailed instructions. The Data Entry Operator I works from various standardized source documents that have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding or interpreting of data. Problems such as erroneous items and codes, or missing information are resolved at a higher level. Work is routine and repetitive.
2. Data Entry Operator II: This position requires the application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed, and searching for interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of document sources. The Data Entry Operator II may occasionally perform routine work as described for Data Entry Operator I.
3. Data Entry Operator III. Under general supervision, enters, transcribes, and verifies a variety of alphanumeric data onto an on-line, batch mode, or personal computer system. Assignments are routine to complex in nature and work parameters are typically well defined. Maintains files, records, and chronologies of entry activities.
4. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
5. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
6. Functional requirements include use of both hands, fingers, and ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
7. Requires near vision correctable at 13″ to 16″ to Jaeger 1 to 4.
Education
High School or equivalent with the following years of relevant experience:
* Data Entry Operator I: 0 or more years
* Data Entry Operator II: 1-2 or more years
* Data Entry Operator III: 2-4 or more years
Qualifications
1. U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons highly desired.
2. Candidates will have to pass a limited personal background inquiry pertaining to verification of name, physical description, marital status, present and former residences, education, employment history, criminal record, personal references, medical fitness, fingerprint classification, and other pertinent information for access to client data.
a. Non-U.S. Citizens must have a pre-appointment check that includes an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency check
b. To be eligible for employment, non-U.S. citizens must have:
(1) Official legal status in the United States; and
(2) Continuously resided in the United States for the last two years.
3. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
4. Strong organization skills, time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
5. Highly motivated, self-starter that can work proactively with minimal supervision and know when to escalate or seek guidance
6. Analytical thinker with the ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team
7. Proficient computer or gaming skills, use of keyboard, mouse, and other input devices.
