Office Manager / HR Generalist

This position reports directly to the HR Manager. The hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. No nights & no weekends. Paid every other Friday with direct deposit.

Roles and Responsibilities:

– Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising time and attendance for this locations employees on two shifts.

– Be the face of the company. You will sit at the front reception area and greet customers, vendors, job seekers and employees. You will answer phones and direct them to the appropriate person.

– Assist accounting with payroll by tracking and keeping hours up to date. Handle requests for time off and communicate absences to supervisors. Track attendance points.

– You will be the initial screener for new hire candidates. You will administer the assessment and insure that the application is filled out correctly. You will do the initial interview. When a candidate is offered a position you will enter them into the time clock system, do new hire paperwork, assist in the orientation and communicate to supervisors when they are starting.

– You will have various administrative tasks including but not limited to: requisitioning and sometimes purchasing all office supplies. You will have a dedicated desk with a computer and a phone.

– Maintain our filing system.

– Advise the HR Manager of policy disputes or employee conflicts without getting involved and using a high level of discretion.

Qualifications:

– Good phone presence

– Organizational skills

– Strong computer skills including Office, especially Excel, Word and Access

Education:

– High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

– Two years experience in an office setting

– Proficient with Office software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
