Provide professional human resources support to all levels of employees and providers within Eye Health America. Administer policies relating to all phases of human resources activity and works in conjunction with the VP, HR and other HR team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain knowledge of Federal and State legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Lead Subject Matter Expert for company benefits programs including but not limited to: health insurances, retirement plan, paid time off, FMLA and other leaves of absence and employee assistance. Coordinate development and distribution of benefits and total compensation statements annually.
In collaboration with Dir, Employee Development & Engagement, create Benefit Training material to aid in enrollment and online selection of company benefits.
Ensure appropriate and timely response to FMLA and other (non-vacation) leave requests. Coordinate with external vendor for issues.
Organize, coordinate, or assist in annual open enrollment. In coordination with HR Team, work with benefit broker and carriers to develop and distribute information concerning benefits and changes for the coming year. Participate in annual open enrollment meetings as needed. Ensure accurate recording of employee benefit selections and transmission to carriers in a timely fashion.
In collaboration with the Dir, Employee Development & Engagement, assist in the rollout and maintenance of the company’s Wellness Plan.
Lead Subject Matter Expert for Recruiting non-provider staff and ensure the company’s hiring policies and procedures are followed. Post open positions according to policy. Generate formal Offer Letters for candidates.
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs from staff and management
In coordination with Sr. HR Business Partner, assist and advise managers/supervisors about local employee relations issues including counseling around disciplinary issues and documentation; terminations, promotions, performance review, etc.
As directed by Sr. HR Business Partner, participate in disciplinary and counseling meeting with the employee and supervisor/manager to ensure appropriate and fair resolution consistent with company policies and legal requirements.
Help administrate the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Assist in the preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
