Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital, funded in the 1930’s, has served the behavioral health needs to the Greater Puget Sound area for more than 80 years, continuously building a reputation for providing the best most compassionate patient centered care! Fairfax operates a 157-bed, standalone psychiatric hospital, located in Kirkland, WA, composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders, as well as detox services for both adolescents and adults. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment.
RN DUTIES
- 15 minute patient rounds
- First point of contact for patients and ongoing contact thereafter with emphasis on safety
- Lead community meetings and skills groups
- Escort patients to/from meals and outdoor breaks, and monitor accordingly
- Take vital signs
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as needed and required by medical orders
- Complete patient wellness checklist and chart additional information as needed
- Answer phones

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current license to practice nursing in Washington (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
