Our Senior Web Developer is one who needs to be reliable, flexible, and detail orientated. The Senior Web Developer’s responsibilities include communicating with clients to determine website specifications, creating schedules, and providing quotes, writing code, working with a team of designers and content writers, as well as assisting with recruitment and training of all new junior web developers. The ideal candidate would be able to provide excellent customer service, understand written and verbal instructions, and stick to deadlines and budget constraints.
To be successful as a Senior Web Developer, the candidate needs to be a proven innovator that executes on those ideas and demonstrates a passion for technology. Outstanding candidates are deadline-driven self-starters with superb customer skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Create basic website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS
Integrate data from various back-end web services and databases
Work with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Create and maintain software and 3rd party app documentation
Ensure cross-browser compatibility of new features
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
Collaborate with the web team to realize visual design intent.
Creating timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.
Communicating effectively with clients and teams.
Updating records and writing reports.
Debugging websites and ensuring software documentation is updated.
Conducting research and keeping abreast of social media marketing trends.
Mange backend and hosting for ministry
Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
**This position is required to be onsite at our New Albany, Ohio headquarters.**
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, software development, or related field
5+ years experience in related field
In lieu of a degree, 7+ year’s of experience in web development, software development, or related field
Web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Front-end development experience
Back-end framework experience
Content management systems (CMSs) such as WordPress, Duda, and Squarespace
UI/UX design experience
Working knowledge of graphic design
API integration experience
Agile and test-driven development best practices
