FasTraxPOS Hiring for Android Developer at Madison, AL Full Time

FasTrax Solutions is looking to hire a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly organized Android developer to join their team in their Madison, Alabama location. As a member of the IT department, the ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for pushing the limits of mobile technologies and enjoys working closely with an innovative team to explore new ideas. Their main focus will be designing and developing advanced applications and integrating them with back end services. They will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. In this role, the right candidate is fully committed to collaborative problem solving, developing a sophisticated and easy-to-use design, and creating enriching quality products.

As an Android developer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Translating designs and wireframes into clean, high-quality code for Android application

• Performing unit and instrumentation tests on code

• Designing, building, and maintaining high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code

• Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, fixing bugs, and enhancing application performance

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features

• Helping to maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

• Monitoring the performance of live apps and working with optimizing them at the code level

• Staying up-to-date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols

Qualifications:

• A strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes

• A working knowledge of remote data via REST and JSON

• Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs

• Exceptional knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

• Familiarity with the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

• A working knowledge of the full mobile development life cycle

• A strong team player with a positive attitude

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
